BIO

PIOTR ZŁOTOROWICZ

A film director and screenwriter. Born in Dębno, Poland, in 1982. He graduated Electrical Engineering from The West Pomeranian University of Technology and Film Directing from The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź.

His student documentary “Charcoal Burners” (2010) was screened at 120 international festivals, including DOK Leipzig, and garnered recognition in the form of over 30 prizes and awards. Another of his short films, a fiction titled “Normal People” (2011) premiered at the 51st Krakow Film Festival and was awarded the Silver Tadpole for cinematography at Plus Camerimage. His graduation film “Mother Earth” (2014) was awarded at 67th Locarno Film Festival among 27 other prizes it received from different international festivals. All of the above mentioned films were also broadcasted by Polish television.

Piotr’s personal achievements include being nominated as one of the five most promising young Polish directors by RMF CLASSIC Radio Channel. In 2012 he also won the “Young Talent Award” by the Polish Radio for best director, who is less than thirty years old.

He made his theater debut with the monodrama "Every Brilliant Thing" (2019) produced by Polonia Theatre.

Piotr's first feature film "Wiarołom" was premiered at Dhaka International Film Festival in 2022.

He is the development of his second film witch is Polish-Czech co-production titled “Aquarius”. It’s a horror story set in 19th century Poland.
